BNP Vice Chairman Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin has been arrested from the High Court gate on Thursday (Nov 28).
“Hafiz has been taken to Detective Branch office at capital’s Minto Road,” said the party chairman’s press wing employee Shamsuddin Didar.
Ramna zone Additional Commissioner police HM Azimul Hauqe said, “Hafiz has been arrested in a lawsuit filed over collusion and assault on police with Shahbag police on Tuesday (Nov 26)."
Earlier, BNP Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokon was arrested from the High Court gate while he was on his way to party chief Khaleda Zia’s bail plea hearing in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case.
