In the much talked about Holey Artisan Bakery attack, seven people were handed death sentence by anti-terrorism special tribunal.
During the trial, 113 people testified but the testimony of one teenager was given the most importance by court.
The teenager, Tahrim Kaderi was associated with the militants and he also identified two persons.
Kaderi appeared before the court on 16 July last. Tahrim, now 17, was arrested on Sept 10, 2016 during a counter terrorism operation in Azimpur
During that drive, Tahrim’s father Tanvir Kaderi, committed suicide by slitting his own throat. His mother, Khadija and two other women were arrested.
After arrest, Tahrim gave sensational information about Holey Artisan attack in Gulshan. Of the 211 witnesses, he was number 39.
Tahrim was in a youth correction entre for eight months and was released on bail in June, 2017.
Though five militants of the Holey Artisan attack were killed on the spot, Tahrim provided plenty of important background information on them.
Based on information given by him and the following investigation done by law enforcers, it was found that before the Holey attack, the militants stayed at eight homes in the capital with the last one being in Bashundhara Residential Area.
Tahrim was also in that house in Bashndhara and was later de-radicalised at the correction centre.
According to him, one Basharuzzaman aka ‘Chocolate’ uncle brought the militants to their home during the month of Ramadan.
They were Saad, Mamun, Umar, Alif and Shivra. Later, Tamim Chowdhury, the mastermind of the attack, also came along with Marzan.
They brought bags which contained weapons. Tamim and four others stayed in one room while Tahrim and his father slept in the drawing room.
Tahrim said that Tamim and others talked about carrying out a big operation. On the day of the attack, Saad, Mamun, Umar, Alif went out with a bag saying to each other: we will meet in paradise, Inshallah!

Tahrim said that his father told him to pray for the uncles so they would be able to carry out the operation without being caught.
On the next day, after the commandos stormed the Holey Baker and killed the militants, Tahreem’s father told him: “Your brothers have become martyrs!”
