Dhaka South City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon has gone to Singapore for medical treatment.
A Singapore Airlines flight carrying him left Dhaka at 11.55pm on Sunday (Aug 25).
Responding to queries, the DNCC mayor said, “I am going to Singapore for medical treatment. I have appointments with doctors on Monday. If the doctor doesn’t prescribe any medical tests, I will return the next day.”
“I will monitor the ongoing Dengue situation and the Aedes larvae eradication drives through WhatsApp and other social media services,” he assured.
DNCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon is one of the victims of the grenade attack on the Awami League rally at Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka on Aug 21, 2004. He often has to go to abroad to consult doctors.
