Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 15 people in the capital for abuse and peddling of illegal drugs.
The suspects were arrested in different areas of Dhaka during anti-narcotic drives conducted between Thursday (Aug 15) morning till Friday (Aug 16) morning.
DMP Deputy Commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter to Bangla Tribune.
Police also seized 170 pieces of Yaba tablets, 1,000 packets of heroin, 40 grams of cannabis and three injections from the suspects.
A total of 11 cases have been filed against the suspects with the concerned police stations under the Narcotics Control Act in this connection.
