Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at most places over the country in the next 24 hours ending 9am Friday (Aug 2).
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country”, said a met office bulletin issued on Thursday (Aug 1).
“Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay”, it added.
However, the day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Thursday’s highest temperature 35.7 degrees Celsius was recorded at Rajshahi and the lowest 24.5 degrees at Teknaf in Chattogram.
