A total of 36 MSc nursing students have successfully completed their post graduation courses from NIANER on six major subjects, says a KOICA press release.

This MSc nursing programme will open a new horizon for Bangladesh to demonstrate modernised nursing education system.

All the graduates will be capable enough to capture the local market and compete with other post graduate nurses who have studied in abroad. These locally produced graduate nurses will create a good image in the job market and contribute in the nursing development in Bangladesh.

State Minister of Health Ministry Zahid Maleque was present as chief guest while the Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee of Ministry of Jute and Textiles Saber Hossain Chowdhury was present as special guest in the event.

This project was initiated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to establish an advanced higher level nursing education centre in Bangladesh in order to develop knowledgeable and qualified nurses and fulfill the shortage in this noble profession.

In light of this, Republic of Korea (KOICA) has supported to execute the PM’s dream project “Establishment of the National Institute of Advanced Practice Nurses in Bangladesh” with a budget of $13.75 million grants aid.
