BRACU student killed in Dhaka road accident

Fahmida Labannya. PHOTO:FACEBOOK/Fahmida Labannya A female student of BRAC University was killed on Thursday (Apr 25) in Dhaka after a truck rammed into the motorbike she was on.
The accident was reported from the capital’s Mirpur Road near the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Fahmida Labannya.
Another person, who was riding the motorbike, was injured in the accident.
Labannya was on her way to the university from Shyamoli on a motorbike which she hailed through ride-sharing app Pathao, said police.
“She died on spot when the bike was hit in front of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases,” said Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police OC Jaan-e-Alam Munshi.
He said that the motorbike rider has been injured but could not provide any more details.
The body has been kept at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue.
