A group of corrupt people has started a vile move to leak the question papers of the MBBS admission test of the government medical colleges. Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch has received information that a group of frauds and corrupts has become active in different areas of the country to cheat people through contracts to get students admitted into Medical colleges in exchange for a large huge amount of money. Metropolitan detective police sources said on Thursday (05 October) just the day before this year MBBS test said that, multiple teams of police are conducting drives in different areas of the capital against these corrupted people.
Detective officials involved in the investigation said that this crooked circle has started there move by connecting through Facebook with the students who want to qualify the admission test. After connecting with the students and their parents they have made financial contracts in several stages. They will leak the question paper to the students and their parents in three ways; such contract they have made in return of a huge amount of money.
On the internet there the common 'offers' regarding is that question paper will be supplied an hour before the examination begins. In this method, the members of the crooked circle offer that they will keep the students in a secret place and before the exam start, they will supply the question and solve papers to the students and students will participate the exam after memorizing the solves.
A detective official told the Bangla Tribune that more than one syndicate was detected who use technology to help students cheat in the exam hall. The detective branch is conducting drives to arrest the members of this type of syndicates. These syndicates are making contracts of TK10 lakh to TK20 lakh with the admission seeker students and their parents. They take Tk10 lakh in advance and the main transcripts and certificates of the students as mortgage and give guaranty of admission.
According to the information of the detective officials, use of ultra-modern technology is the second tactic of the question leaking syndicates. They supply a device similar to the smart card and a small size Bluetooth device. After entering the examination hall with these devices, students will get set code and answers in these devices sent by the syndicate members.
To supply these devices, they take Tk15 thousand and several educational documents from the students. After getting admitted to the medical colleges, the students have to pay the contracted amount of money and then they will get back their documents.
The third tactic of the fraud is to make promises to supply question papers along with answers in different Facebook groups. To do this, the fraud circles have already made a list of the admission seeker students.
Detective officials said that most of the frauds use Facebook groups to cheat. They spread rumors of question leaks and show various temptations to send money in Bkash account. After getting the money they block the Facebook Ids and search new victims. Intelligence officials said that around 500 Facebook IDs have been kept under surveillance regarding this.
While asked about the question papers Leaking Syndicate, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police Mahmud Naser said to the Bangla Tribune, ‘Various fraud circles have started various types of misdeeds regarding the upcoming Medical College Admission test on Friday. Though we have got evidence of financial contracts regarding this test, still there are no signs of leakage of the question papers.
