A Dhaka Court has ordered the confiscation of the assets of BNP leader Mirza Abbas’ wife Afroza Abbas.
The Sessions Judge’s Court gave the order on Tuesday (Jan 22) against an Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) petition.
According to the court order, the graft watchdog will seize assets worth over Tk 200 million which includes shares from Dhaka Bank Limited and Dhaka Telephone Company Limites.
Moreover, Tk 700,000 will be seized from her Dhaka Bank Account.
The ACC filed a case against Afroza Abbas on Jan 7 of this year, accusing her of illegal accumulation of assets worth over Tk 200 million.
