ACC Chairman Iqbal Mahmud. FILE PHOTOThe Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) will employ a strict zero-tolerance policy against its corrupt employees, said ACC Chairman Iqbal Mahmud.
His remarks came on Tuesday (Jan 22) while responding to media queries about the recent suspension of ACC Director Fazlul Hoque.
Earlier in the day, Hoque was suspended from his post after allegations of leaking confidential information, being in touch with convicts and illegal monetary transaction surfaced against him.
Responding to queries about whether corrupt staffers were being listed, Mahmud said, “There is no list. But allegations of negligence or crime will be dealt with swiftly.”
He added that any illegal action on an employee’s part will lead to them being fired.
