An advisory council has been formed to coordinate the elections to Dhaka University Students’ Union and the hall unions.
A statement was issued by the university’s Public Relation Office on Thursday (Jan 17).
The statement said, “DU vice-chancellor Md Akhtaruzzaman has formed the 15-member strong body.
Dr SM Mahfuzur Rahman of DU’s International Business Department has been appointed as the chief returning officer to conduct the election, it reads.

Election to the DUCSU has long been a demand from the DU students since the last DUCSU polls took place on Jun 6, 1990.
