Dhaka South City Corporation (DSSC) Mayor Syed Khokon has directed that all polls campaign materials including banners and festoon be removed within 48 hours.
“The recent polls took place amidst much festivity,” he said while inaugurating a program for the removal of all campaign materials at the capital on Wednesday (Jan 2).
He added that by taking down the candidates’ posters, banners, festoons and array of campaign, he wants to give the residents of a clean Dhaka.
“I have ordered that all posters and other materials be taken down within 48 hours. Dhaka North and South City Corporation will be working on it,” he said.
The mayor called for the political parties and candidates to take part in the cleaning drive.
