Shafiq filed a general diary with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police in relation to the matter on Tuesday (Dec 25).
On Dec 25, Bangla Tribune ran a report regarding the allegations on DSCC transport workers union leaders faking their ages in the affidavits.

He added that he received similar threats from an official of the DSCC cleaning department on the same night.
In the general diary, the staff reporter said that since the transport workers are always on the streets he fears being run over by them.
However, Akhter Dewan denied the allegations saying that Shafiq was trying to defame him.
