Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina does not believe in transferring power with a sword hanging over her head, said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
“Awami League believes that power can change hands only through the elections and recognizes that it’s the people who hold all the power,” he said at a rally on Friday (Dec 21).
Talking about conspiracies to foil the elections, the minister said, “No matter who conspires, the polls cannot be foiled because the people will stand up against it over and over again.”
He said that the people will vote for Awami League and help them emerge victorious despite the many conspiracies.
