The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under eight general education boards for the year 2019 are going to start from Feb 2.
On Thursday (Nov 22), the education ministry announced the schedule for exams.
The school-leaving exams for tenth graders have been starting from Feb 1 for the past few years. However, since Feb 1 this year falls on Friday, the exams will start the next day.
The written tests will end on Feb 25.
The practical examination on music is due on Feb 26 while practical tests for other subjects will be held in between Feb 27 and Mar 12.
Students will be allowed to take scientific calculators inside exam halls. But no-one except the centre secretary will be allowed to take mobile phone inside the centre, as per rules set for the public examinations.
Students must enter the exam halls 30 minutes prior to the test.
