The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will probe MP aspirants whose campaign expenditures will go beyond the limit set by the Election Commission, says it Chairman Iqbal Mahmood.
“We will keep an eye whether black (undeclared) funds are used for campaigning. Do not vote for corrupt candidates,” he said while addressing an event on the ACC’s 14th founding anniversary on Thursday (Nov 22).
The graft watchdog will look into prospective candidate’s wealth statement filed for the nomination, said Mahmood. “Legal actions will be taken if anyone furnished false information.”
