The Leicester Crown Court, on Friday, sentenced Komar Uddin to 15 years after a jury convicted him of two rapes and three sexual assaults.
On Feb 25, 2015, Komar, then living in Leicester, was invited to exorcise evil spirits from the troubled and mentally fragile victim.
A ceremony took place in her bedroom, lit only by candles. The 19-year-old was abused as her trusting father and relatives were downstairs at the family home in Leicester.
Following his arrest three years ago, Komar fled from the UK after securing bail. He was extradited from Germany last November to face trial.
Local media reported that the before passing the order, Judge Timothy Spencer QC said, “This family placed their trust in you, particularly the father, and you betrayed his trust appallingly.”
A father of 11 and a grandfather as well, Komar entered the UK illegally in 2006 and has been living there since.
