The entire country will come under power coverage by December,  says State Minister For Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid.

He made the remark on Friday while inaugurating the 5-storied building for Upazila Awami League office at Keraniganj.

The state minister said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is relentlessly working to bring the entire country under power coverage.

“No area in the country will be without electricity,” Hamid hoped.

He further said, “The demand of electricity has been increasing along with the ongoing development across the nation. We are developing the infrastructure in line with that and preparing to present the next generation with a new Bangladesh.”

A 230/132/3 KV grid substation is under construction at Keraniganj’s Kona Khola area to reduce occasional voltage glitches in the area, said the minister.
