The US Bangla Flight BS-141 was forced to make an emergency landing at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Wednesday (Sept 27). FOCUS BANGLAThe Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry on Thursday asked the US-Bangla Airlines to submit a report after checking all of their planes, reports UNB.
“The authorities asked to submit the report as soon as possible,” said the ministry’s Secretary M Mohibul Haque.
The government move came after Wednesday’s emergency landing of a US-Bangla aircraft at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram.
The Cox's Bazar-bound flight was forced to make the landing as its nose wheel got locked and did not extend.
On Mar 12 this year, 51 people, including 26 Bangladeshi citizens, were killed and many others injured after another US-Bangla Airlines aircraft crashed and burst into flames at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Later that month, another Malaysia-bound flight of the airlines was forced to return to Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for an emergency landing after receiving a signal indicating a technical glitch.
In July, another US-Bangla flight made an emergency landing at the same airport after one of its tires burst during take-off.
