Talking about punitive measures against party members accused of graft, corruption and venality, Awami League Secretary General and Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader, said: “When charge sheet is submitted against them and accusation proved, they will be ousted from the party.”
The current drive against corruption irrespective of party affiliation shows the government’s integrity and boldness, he said.
Talking about AL reserve seat MP, Tamanna Busrat Bubli, whose BA exam candidature was cancelled for using an impersonator to appear at the exam hall, the minister said: “A decision on the matter will be taken in the next working meeting of AL.”
The anti-graft purging will be carried out at all sectors, not just within the government and this will be ongoing, he added.
