Prime Minister and Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina will attend the councils of four organisations affiliated with the party slated for November.
The ruling party’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader made the announcement on Monday (Oct 28) while speaking to the media at his Secretariat offices.
“The Suhrawardy Udyan has been chosen as the venue for the councils and the prime minister will attend all four events as the chief guest,” said Quader, who serves as the road transport and bridges minister.
Earlier this month, Hasina set the dates in a meeting with leaders of the organisations at her official residence the Ganabhaban.
As per the decisions, Jubo League will hold the council on Nov 23, Swechchhasebak League on Nov 16, Sramik League on Nov 9, and Krishak League on Nov 6.
