Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh said he had a productive meeting with his Bangladesh counterpart Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
Rajnath was talking with the media after attending the formal talks between the two ministers at the Secretariat Sunday morning.
He said, “We don’t have any problem at the border. We discussed many issues including border related ones.”
The meeting started at 10:30am and continued for one and half hour where Kamal led the Bangladesh side while Rajnath led the Indian side. The last Bangladesh-India home minister meeting was held in New Delhi in 2016.
Rajnath came to Dhaka on Jul 13 and paid a courtesy call on with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He also inaugurated new visa centre at the Jamuna Future Park and went to Rajshahi to visit Sardah Police Academy.
During his trip, a revision was made to Bangladesh-India Revised Travel Arrangement and a memorandum of understanding on police cooperation was signed in Rajshahi.
