The bombing on police at Dhaka’s Science Laboratory might be a test case for a major attack in future, says ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
Police are investigating the attack and they are on alert, he said on Sunday (Sept 1) in response to queries on the attack injuring two policemen the previous night.
The detectives are yet to find out those responsible for the attack, said Quader, a senior cabinet member.
On Islamic State’s (IS) claim over the attack, Quader said that he cannot say anything about it, but it should be pondered over if some local terror outfits are trying to use the name of IS.
