The popularity of Awami League chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has increased by 10 percent over the last six months, says a survey by research body ‘Call Ready’.
The organisation revealed its finding at a media call on Thursday (Jul 25), when it said that a total of 801 percent of the people in the country approve of Hasina.
A total 1,255 people from across the country were surveyed for the study, conducted by Prof Dr Abul Hasnat Milton, Kazi Ahmad Pervez, Azad Abul Kalam and Md Mosharraf Hossain over the past six months.
Some 79.75 percent of the respondents have expressed their satisfaction over the Hasina administration’s initiatives in the last six months, which was 70 percent before the elections.
In addition, 22 percent of the respondents said they were satisfied with the implementation of mega projects, 20 percent said they were satisfied with the road and communication situation, and 10 percent said they were satisfied with the condition of education.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader were found to be the most popular minister, with the support of 41 percent respondents. Education Minister Dipu Moni came in second with the support of 29 percent of those surveyed.
