Security system being upgraded: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal speaking at a program on Sunday (Jun 23).The security system is being upgraded in accordance with international standards to meet any challenge, said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
“Considering the challenges ahead of us, our law enforcers are constantly planning and collecting information on corruption throughout the world,” he said on Sunday (Jun 23).
“We are expanding our capacity so that we can combat any challenge,” he added.
The minister said that because the law enforcers were alert after the Sri Lanka bombing, a similar incident was avoided in Bangladesh.
Saying that security and corruption are the biggest challenge he added, “We have already faced off many challenges.”
The minister said that they were successful because the prime minister had arranged for adequate resources for the security division.
On corruption, Kamal said, “There is corruption everywhere. But we have plans to reduce it.”
He added that ministry was working towards that goal and has already established an independent Anti Corruption Commission and that anyone involved with graft will be brought to the book.
Saying that there has been a rise in cybercrimes recently, he added that they have already strengthened the cyber crime unit and the national telecommunication monitoring cell.
