Dhaka city Detective Branch (DB) are entrusted with the case lodged over the fire at FR Tower in Banani.
The police will send two arrested persons, the owner of the land and the extended part of the building to court, requesting ten days remand, said DB’s Additional Police Commissioner Golam Saklain.
On Saturday (Mar 30), the owner of the land on which FR Tower stands, SMH Faruk and the owner of the extended part, BNP leader Tasvir ul Islam, were arrested by DB.
On Thursday, (Mar 28), fire broke out at the FR Tower in Banani and 25 units of the fire department worked to carry out the rescue operation with support from police, RAB and defence forces.
In the incident, 26 persons have died so far.
On Saturday night, the SI of Banani thana, Milton Dutt lodged a case and later, the two persons were arrested.
