Physicians at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore are taking preparations for conducting the bypass surgery of ailing Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader next week, reports state news agency BSS.
“He (Quader) has been moved from the ICU to a cabin of the hospital this morning as his health condition improved further… liquid food is being served to him,” Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Director Dr Abu Naser Rizvi, who is staying beside the ailing politician, said on Wednesday (Mar 13) morning, citing to a media release received in Dhaka.
Earlier, Dr Sivathasan Cumaraswamy, cardiothoracic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital apprised of the last update about the physical improvement of Quader to his family members.
Quader’s wife Isratunnesa Quader and Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Mostafizur Rahman were present during the time.
