The first meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the 11th Parliament will be held on Monday (Mar 4).
The meeting will begin at 4m on Monday at the Parliament complex with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also attend the sitting.
On Feb 3, the House formed the 14-member panel that include Leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Haisna, Opposition Leader HM Ershad, Rawshan Ershad, Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Huq Inu, Obaidul Quader, Deputy Speaker M Fazle Rabbi Miah, Anisul Haq, Anisul Islam Mahmood and Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury.
According to the parliament’s rules of procedure, the Business Advisory Committee will recommend time allocation for the discussion of the stage or stages of such Government Bills and other business as the Speaker, in consultation with the House’s Leader, may direct for being referred to the Committee.
It will set the timetable and the different hours at which the various stages of the Bill or other business will be completed.
