Saying that the current age belongs to science and technology, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called on engineers of the Non Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) community, to play a role in the country’s progress.

The PM made the comment Tuesday (Feb 26) while speaking at a summit of NRB engineers.

“To improve services, the Awami League government has established power centres, aircraft and helicopter services in the private sector.”

The government is working to develop the IT sector and work is underway to reach facilities of digital Bangladesh to everyone, said the PM, adding, “We are providing facilities to NRBs, a bank has been formed and investment is welcome in IT and industrial sectors.”

The prime minister also underlined the high tech and digital park plus the booming online market.

“A comprehensive development plan in underway, power production is rising, distribution lines increased and electricity is taken to remote areas like Sandwip,” said the PM.

She also said that work is ongoing to transform Cox’s Bazar into an international airport and SDG’s will be implemented through implementing the seventh five year plan.
