Oscar Bangladesh Committee has requested movies to be nominated for Cineworld's most extravagant show on earth.

Any film released after Oct 1, 2017, and shown in a cinema hall for seven consecutive days can participate in the selection provided they have mandatory English subtitles.

To take part in the selection, producers have been asked to collect forms from the 9th floor, 52/1 New Eskaton, Dhaka 1217 and, submit by 5 pm, Sept 20, 2018.

At the initiative of Bangladesh Federation of Film Societies, a nine member committee with film personality, Habibur Rahman, as the head, has been formed, said Robin Shams, media coordinator for the 91st Oscar Bangladesh Committee.

Organised by the Academy of Motion Picture and Sciences, the 91st Oscar will be held on Feb 24, 2019, at Dolby Theatre, California. Foreign language films is one sector of the featured 24 segments to be awarded.
