Father of Abrar murder suspect dies

Fakir Mosharraf HossainThe father of a suspect in the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad murder case, died on Sunday (Feb 2).
45-year-old Fakir Mosharraf Hossain, father of Ifti Mosharraf Sokal, breathed his last on the way to Faridpur Medical College Hospital following a stroke.
Wife of the deceased, Rabeya Begum, said that her husband went to the hearing in the case filed for the killing of BUET student Abrar, in which their son was one of the accused.
He was in a stress after returning home from Dhaka. On Saturday (Feb 1) noon he suffered a stroke and was rushed to Rajbari Sadar Hospital. He was referred to Faridpur Medical College Hospital while he died on the way to the hospital around 3am on Sunday.
Rajbari Sadar Hospital Dr Tayran Mahmud said, on Feb 1 the patient was brought to the hospital with chest pain. Later, he was referred to Faridpur state-run hospital when his condition deteriorated.
