Two KU students held as 'neo-JMB members'

Police in Khulna have detained two people on suspicion of being activists of Neo-JMB, an offshoot of the banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh, from the city.
They were held with huge amount of bomb making materials in the early hours of Saturday (Jan 25) after conducting raid in the city’s Gollamari area, said police.
The detainees have been identified as 24-year-old Nur Mohammad Anik and 23-year-old Md Mojahidul Islam Rafi, students of Khulna University, said Sheikh Moniruzzaman, media spokesperson of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).
“Details will be briefed in a media call later in the day,” added Moniruzzaman.
