A fire has broken out at Sholokbahar area of Panchlaish union in Chattogram.

The blaze started around 10:35 am on Friday, confirmed Farid Ahmed, deputy assistant director of Fire Service from the spot.

He said the fire was brought under control around 11:20 am. "Fifteen fire fighting units rushed to the spot, and are trying to douse the blaze," he added.

However, no definite reason behind the source of the fire or news of casualties has been reported so far, Farid Ahmed said.
