But many participants who are coming from outside Dhaka are caught in traffic jam. Many have brought plastic keeping the possible rainfall in mind.

There is an acute jam at Chandina, Cherag Ali, Gazipura, Board Bazar and Tongi Bridge. There are allegations that the police are not doing enough to address the jam.
The whole of the Ijtema field has been illuminated by LED lights and the overall facilities are being looked after by Gazipur mayor Md. Jahangir Alam.
The CCTV cameras around the Ijtema field have been activated with law enforcers deployed.
Acting OC Emdadul Huq of Tongi West, said: “We are trying to ease the suffering of the people at the Ijtema.”
Acting OC of Tongi East police, Kamal Hossain, says: “Since people have started to come from the morning, the number of people has increased; also, there is a pressure of vehicles on the highway. The police, highway police and thana police are working to ease the traffic.”
