Three people have been killed after a bus crashed into a private car in Cox’s Bazar’s Ramu upazila.
The incident was reported from the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway late on Wednesday (Jan 1), Ramu police OC Md Abul Khayer confirmed.
The deceased have been identified as Jaan-e-Alam, 35, Masud Kibria, 40, and Jamal Uddin, 35.
OC Khayer said that a Dhaka-bound Syamoli Paribahan bus crashed into the Cox’s Bazar-bound private car from Chattogram killing two people on spot.
“Two others were taken to Ramu Hospital and then Cox’s Bazar Hospital where the doctors declared one dead,” he added.
Cox’s Bazar Fire Service Deputy Director Abdul Malek said that two of the bodies had to be recovered after cutting the roof of the car.
