A joint delegation team from Myanmar and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has arrived in Cox’s Bazar on a two-day visit to Rohingya camps in Ukhiya.
They arrived at Cox's Bazar Airport around 11am on Wednesday (Dec 18).
The delegation is scheduled to visit Kutupalong 4 Rohingya camp in Ukhiya, later in the day.
There, they will speak with Rohingya community leaders (both from Muslim and Hindu community) about the repatriation process and the Rohingya people who want to go back to their homeland.The nine-member Myanmar delegation is led by Myanmar Director General of International Organizations and Economic Department Chan Aye.
Also joining them are seven top-level officials of the ASEAN countries.
Cox’s Bazar Additional Superintendent of Police Iqbal Hussain confirmed the matter.
