At least six people, including children were burned as a generator exploded on a pickup van at Jashne Julus programme in Chattogram city's Lalkhan Bazar on Sunday (Nov 10).
Jashne Julus is a traditional programme, organised on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladnabi by Anjumane Rahmania Ahmadia Sunniya Trust.
The injured are being now treated at the Chattogram Medical College Hospital, said Assistant Sub-Inspector Alauddin Talukder of the hospital's police camp.
The victims have been identified as Rifat Hossain, 10, Nur Nabi, 6, Kawsar, 20, Rafiqul Islam, 13, Yamin, 9, Hridoy, 16, all residents of the port city's Bakolia area.
