At least four hideouts were destroyed during the nearly eight-hour long raid at the hilly areas surrounding the Rohingya camps of upazils’s Noyapara, Shalbagan and Jadimura areas on Saturday, said RAB-15 CPC-1 Company Commander Lt Mirza Shahed Mahtab.
According to RAB, a Rohingya robbery gang led by Abdul Hakim and his accomplices Mohammad Jakir, Kala Selim, Nur Kamal, Builla, Rajjak, and Amin built hideouts beneath the hills.

The elite force flew drones over the hills surrounding the Rohingya camps and locate several hideouts before carrying out the raids, Lt Mahtab said.
“The hideouts have been demolished and ringleader Hakim and his aides are being hunted down,” he added.
No arrest was reported during the raid.
The RAB official, however, said several members of the robbery gang were arrested at different times.
On Friday (Oct 25), another of the elite force led by RAB-15 chief Wing Commander Azim Ahmed, also conducted an operation at Teknaf’s at Baharchara Toggya hill area using drones.
