The Chattogram Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal has sentenced nine people to death and four others to life imprisonment for killing a businessman in 2013.
Judge Mohammad Abdul Halim gave the verdict on Monday (Oct 14).
CMP assistant commissioner Kazi Shahbuddin Ahmed, said, Jahangir Alam, son of Fazr Ali of Gouripur village in Daudkandi upazila in Cumilla was hacked to death by some miscreants on Dec 1, 2013.
A murder case was filed on Dec 2, 2013 in this regard.
Three others were acquitted in the case, added Ahmed.
