Three people have been killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run three wheeler in Sherpur.
The incident was reported from Citholia area in the district’s Nakla Upazila on Sunday (Sept 22) evening, said police.
Two among the deceased have been identified as Billal Hossain, 35, Habibur Rahman, 55.
Police and local sources said five people were severely injured and one died on the spot when a Sherpur-bound bus rammed into an auto-rickshaw in the area.
Later, locals took the injured to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).
Two among the injured died at the hospital and rest are being treated there, police said.
Nakla police OC Alamgir Hossain said, “Police have seized the bus and the three-wheeler while the driver of bus is on the run.”
