Two ‘drug peddlers’ killed in Jhenaidah ‘shootout’

ShootoutTwo men have been killed in Jhenaidah in what the RAB describe as a shootout.
The victims have been identified as Sazzadur Rahman and Abdur Razzak.
The incident was reported at the early hours of Sunday from city’s Pobhati area, said Jhenaidah RAB 6 Company Commander Golam Morshed.
“Acting on a tip off, RAB conducted a raid in city’s Pobhati area. The drug peddlers open fired to the elite force team when they were trying to escape from the spot. RAB retaliated and two bullet ridden bodies were found from the spot. Later, the bodies were sent to a local state run hospital where the doctors declared them dead”, said RAB official Morshed.
Two RAB members were injured during the raid, added the elite force official.
Two guns, two bullets, 55 bottles of Phensedyl, 152 pieces of Yaba and a motorcycle were seized from the incident spot.
