Fire service divers in Chattogram have recovered the bodies of three tourists, who went missing on Friday in the Bay of Bengal.
The bodies were recovered early afternoon on Saturday from a beach in the district’s Sitakunda, said Fire Service Assistant Director Jasim Uddin.
Saiful Islam, 24, Md Alauddin, 20, and Md Yasir, 18 went missing on Friday.
“The bodies were recovered between 12.20pm and 1:30pm during a joint operation by the fire service, coast guard and navy,” fire service official Jamal.
On Jun 21, two youths from Narayanganj, Shafayet Hossain Raz and Nazmul Hasan Emon, went missing from the same area and their bodies were recovered on the following day.
