The president and prime minister will be visiting Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth place Tungipara in Gopalganj on Thursday (Aug 15) marking the National Mourning Day and his 44th death anniversary.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Assistant Personal Secretary Nishat Rasul informed Gopalganj deputy commissioner of the visits.
President Abdul Hamid will first pay his respects at Bangabandhu’s memorial on Thursday morning.
The prime minister will pay her respect at 10 am in the morning and take part in special prayers.
