The victim's brother-in-law Shahabuddin Matbar told Bangla Tribune that, she (the woman) was apprehended by OC Osman Gani Pathan around 7 pm on August 2, from Khulna railway station.

On Aug 3, the police presented her before the court over a drug case, with five bottles of phensedyl.

Before the court, the woman accused Osman Gani, along with four other members of the police, of gang-raping her.

To verify her statement, judicial magistrate of the court ordered a medical check-up of the woman at the Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) Monday morning.

The victim also accused OC Osman of bribing the woman's family with a hefty amount of money to cover up his alleged crime.

When contacted, OC Osman denied the allegation, saying: "The woman made the story up to avoid the drug case."
