Four persons were killed and at least 20 others injured as a passenger bus overturned at Kashiani upazilla in the district on Monday (July 29).

According to locals, the accident took place at Bhatiapara intersection around 11:00 am.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

OC Md Azizur Rahman of Kashiani Police Station confirms that the Kashiani-bound local passenger bus coming from Gopalganj overturned as its driver lost control over the steering.

Four persons died on the spot, he said.

At least twenty others were injured, who is undergoing treatment in two different Gopalganj hospitals, he added.
