Two killed in Rajshahi road crash

The mango-laden truck plunged into the road side ditch on the Rajshahi-Chapainawabgonj highway early on Thursday (Jul 11).Two people have been killed and three others injured, when a mango-laden truck fell into a roadside ditch on the Rajshahi-Chapainawabgonj highway.
The incident was reported early on Thursday (Jul 11) at Kamarpara area in the district’s Godagari Upazila, said police.
The deceased have been identified as Nuruzzaman, 50 and Ayub Khan, 50.
“The mango-laden truck plunged into the road side ditch after its driver lost control over steering while heading towards Rajshahi from Chapainawabgonj, leaving two people dead on the spot and three others injured,” said Godagari police OC Jahangir Alam citing witnesses.
“The bodies have been sent to Rahshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) for autopsy,” said OC Alam.
“Fire service members have rescued the injured people and admitted them to Godagari Hospital,” added the OC.
