US ambassador to Bangladesh, Earl Robert Miller, said that his country along with the international community will sustain the pressure on Myanmar to ensure safe, dignified and honourable repatriation of the Rohingyas.
The USA wants to bring to justice those responsible for the persecution of the Rohingyas, said the US ambassador on Tuesday (Jul 9) to the Barishal media after talks with Kashipur divisional commissioner and DIG of police.
The US envoy said: “A conducive environment has to be ensured for a safe repatriation.”
He also re-affirmed US assistance for the Rohingyas.
The US ambassador is on a three day trip to Barishal, starting Tuesday.
