Two ‘drug dealers’ killed in Feni ‘shootout’

ShootoutTwo alleged drug dealers were killed in what elite police unit Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) described as a shootout.
The incident was reported from Fatehpur in Feni sadar upazila in the early hours of Sunday (Jun 9).
One of the deceased has been identified as Mahbubul Hassan Rubel while the other hasn’t been identified yet, said RAB-7 Feni camp chief Shafayet Jamil Fahim.
“RAB raided an abandoned house at Fatehpur rail gate area based on a tip-off gang of drug dealers were there early on Sunday,” he said.
“Sensing RAB’s presence they opened fire and we fired back when two drug dealers’ were injured,” he added.
He said that they were taken to Feni Sadar Hospital where the on-call doctor declared them dead.
The RAB officer said that they seized a hot pot with 10,000 tablets of yaba, two firearms, 17 rounds of ammunition and five bullet shells from the scene.
