A youth, who allegedly raped a minor girl in Gopalganj, has been arrested in Dhaka.
Twenty-five-year-old Milton Fakir was arrested from the city’s Gabtali Bus Terminal early Saturday (May 11), police said.
On May 8, Milton raped a six-year-old girl in his home village of the district’s Tungipara Upazila and fled the area.
The victim is now undergoing treatment at a hospital in Gopalganj.
Later, a case was filed with the local police.
Tungipara police OC AKM Enamul Haque said Milton was produced to the court seeking seven days in remand.
The court sent him to jail, he added.
