Nayan Kumar Sarkar has got GPA 5 by working at a laundry in Natore.
He has worked with his father to pay for the family’s expenses. Now, with GPA-5, Nayan is an ideal for poor students. After SSC results were published, Nayan’s parents are in sheer euphoria.
Many relatives and local people have come to Nayan’s home after the result. The teachers of his school, Dighapatia P N High School, are also ecstatic.
Eldest among three siblings, Nayan’s father, Nripen Kumar, could not carry on education due to financial insolvency but Nayan has fulfilled his father’s dream.He was very meritorious from an early age and we got him admitted to the school, says his father and adds: “In class five, he missed GPA 5 for a few marks and was devastated.”
“However, his mother, Kajli Rani, always encouraged him.”
Nayan’s mother also worked in a laundry to support her husband to pay for Nayan’s education.
Nayan Kumar, says: “I am grateful to my parents and teachers who helped me a lot.”
Nayan wants to be an engineer when he grows up. The headmaster of Dighapatia P N High School, says: “Nayan is an indomitable student and I ask the affluent people in society and the government to come and support him in fulfilling his aspiration.”
